Capsicum Rice

An Quick and Easy recipe for rice lovers. Less spicy and tasty, making this an ideal dish for lunch boxes.


2 nos Capsicum

1 Onion

1 Tomato

1/2 tbsp Ground Black Pepper

2 tbsp Groundnut Oil

1 cup Basmati Rice

Coriander for garnishing

Powdered salt as per taste


1.Dice Capsicum, Onion, Tomato in to small pieces.

2.Rinse and wash Basmati Rice. Cook and set aside.

3.Heat a heavy based pan, add oil. When hot, add Onions and saute for a minute. Add salt.

4.When the onions turn transparent, add Capsicum and saute for three minutes, until capsicum is slightly soft.

5.Now add tomatoes and mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are blended.

6.Add salt & pepper according to your taste needs.

7. Add cooked Basmati rice and mix gently until all the masala is mixed well with the rice.

8. Garnish with Coriander before serving.
